It’s a new year and another year of seeing daily life through my lens. I’m beginning this year doing a coding bootcamp which requires me to be in class 10 hours a day 5 days a week for 18 weeks. That means less photography time until mid-May at least. It will be worth it in the long run though, so that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. I have an extensive photo archive though, so I expect to still post fairly regularly thoughout it. And even when I’ve been quiet here, I have consistently posted to Team LLFA. Join us over there, if you want to keep abreast of things even if this site goes silent for a while.
2022 was a good year for me on a personal level. I experienced some significant losses, but I also experienced a lot of healing and growth that far outstrips the losses. I wasn’t able to focus much on my art in 2022 because of all of those changes and because I have been rethinking my approach to my art. I’m in a state of flux with it, which is a good thing to keep me from becoming stuck. We’ll see where I go with it in the months to come.
I hope you had a good 2022 and are looking forward to what you can do in 2023.
