My ongoing photo series This Is Us shares and celebrates the beautiful ordinariness of subway riders in New York City. I was on the train to Coney Island when this family across the car from me caught my eye. It’s a perfect example of what This Is Us is about. For the most part, we are not putting on a show; we are just living our lives going wherever we are going. And we are beautiful as we do so.
