Non-New Yorkers often say New Yorkers are not friendly. My experience and lens say otherwise. We may not speak to every stranger we pass on the street, in fact, doing so would mean we would never get anywhere. There are too many people here for us to do that! But like people elsewhere we value friendship and friendliness.
