Last weekend I traveled back to Chevy Chase, MD to pick up my art after the recent “Diasporan” show and to visit Llewellyn Berry’s photography class at the gallery. I enjoyed seeing his students’ work, presenting some of my recent work, and answering their questions. We talked about the privacy law and how it affects street photography, intent (why are you making this photo), the importance of technical proficiency, and more. Afterwards I was able to give a student struggling with hand-held low light photography some specific pointers which should improve her shots. Many thanks to Lew for having me!
