Whenever I ride the Staten Island ferry I enjoy watching Manhattan from the deck. It feel surreal to think not long before boarding at South Ferry I was part of the now invisible masses of people walking Manhattan’s streets. From outside of Manhattan the island looks small and pristine. From inside it looks and feels larger than life.
