People who have lived in homes with washers and dryers their whole lives have little concept of packing your dirty laundry and taking it to a laundromat to clean it all. The experience can be fun, a time to connect with community members, frustrating as all get out, and anywhere in between. Switching clothes out from a washer to a dryer (please God, let there be an empty dryer and let it work) is a dance when the laundromat is crowded. And don’t leave your clothes too long in one or the other; you are likely to come find and find your things unceremoniously dumped in a cart or on a table so someone else can use the machine.
