A Decade of Photographing Subway Riders

Posted on 31 December 201928 December 2019
Three people sit side by side on the subway. One waves at the photographer.
This Is Us, 14 February 2009. New York City, USA.

When I made this shot I had been seriously shooting for about a year and was walking the streets with a Canon 300D. Now I do it with a Canon 5D Mark II. Ten years later I still love making subway portraits.

Want to be an integral part of my photography journey going forward? Join Team LLFA for 2020 and gain access to my most recent work three times a week! Membership levels start at just $2 a month and include special benefits at every level, like first dibs at new projects. I enjoy the more personal interaction with Team LLFA members and sometimes post more than 3 times a week.

You can also purchase archival quality prints of the photos I have featured on my blog. Contact me for sizes and pricing.

May the new year bring you many opportunities to continue pursuing your passions, whatever they may be.
