Suburban photos tend to be processed with either vivid colors to celebrate detail or washed-out colors for a soft, dreamy effect. In contrast, urban street photography is often black and white, gritty, or so sharp as to be deer-in-headlights overwhelming. This series presents urban scenes with the same processing effects suburban scenes are usually presented with. They represent the reality of the American Dream as the middle class disappears.
