Suburban photos tend to be processed with either vivid colors to celebrate detail or washed-out colors for a soft, dreamy effect. In contrast, urban street photography is often black and white, gritty, or so sharp as to be deer-in-headlights overwhelming. As more and more people have been pushed out of home ownership and suburban living by the economic crisis, the American Dream has changed shape. This series presents urban scenes with the same processing effects suburban scenes are usually presented with. They represent the reality of the American Dream as the middle class disappears.
