I am told the area around Tompkins Square Park was once considered highly unsavory. Now the area is full of families with a City Bike kiosk just outside the park on E 10th St. While I am glad for the changes, I wonder how many people lost their homes and businesses due to gentrification instead of the neighborhood improvements being inclusive.
