At the time I made this photo the Bronx Documentary Center was at the end of showing “Flint Is A Place”, an exhibit which showed the human side of Flint, Michigan. It wasn’t just about a city not having a clean, accessible water supply. It was about the people who live and do their best to thrive there in spite of it all. I was touched by their photos and words.
