Parkchester Morning in Stained Glass

Posted on 2 September 201830 August 2018

Commuters pass by a beautiful stained glass window at Parkchester Station in the Bronx. Designed by William Low, this 11’x11′ mural depicts morning in Parkchester. This mural and Low’s matching evening depiction on the opposite end of the station were fabricated by Erskin Mitchell Stained Glass in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as part of an MTA capital improvement project. The murals were unveiled in 2011.

11 July 2018. Bronx (NY), USA.
