When I was a kid I didn’t think much about what happened to our Christmas tree after we tossed it outside. Now I know New York City has mulching drop-off stations where people can take their discarded Christmas trees. With all of the green spaces and community gardens in the city, that mulch goes to good use, I’m sure.
