Passing Through the Jungle

Posted on 12 August 20192 August 2019
East Tremont Avenue between Commonwealth and Leland Avenues, 13 May 2019. Bronx (New York), USA.

I have contacted the city multiple times over the past year years about cleaning up the weeds and fixing the broken sidewalk on this stretch of East Tremont Avenue. Maybe someday they will do something about it, hopefully before gentrification comes (not likely) and I am priced out of the neighborhood.

When it rains, the breaks in the sidewalk hold a lot of water, to the point it is easier (and more dangerous) to walk in the street.

Amazing how they will address issues when it will benefit them. Much credit to you for putting your efforts forward to help your community.

Thank you. I deserve a functional neighborhood infrastructure just as much as any wealthy person does, and it is the city’s responsibility to provide it.
