While waiting for an art pop-up to begin, two friends relaxed on Pier 17 with their sketchbooks. This was an awkward angle to shoot from, but I didn’t want to break the moment by moving directly in front of them. Instead I shot from slightly behind and above so I could get a decent shot of the closest sketchbook. That way a closeup or a blown up version gives us a good view of what they were doing.
