
The New York City subway system is rarely quiet and almost never empty. Most days this is about as empty as a busy station like Grand Central Terminal will get. Grand Central is a major stop for five different subway lines plus the Metro North and Long Island Rainroads. Catching a moment like this with few people on the platform is a fluke, and I didn’t want to waste it.
