Happy new year, and welcome to 2026! We have a new year of places to explore, people to watch, and photos to make. I’m looking forward to doing all of that this year. Photo-making continues to be my “happy place”.
The day after Christmas I took my camera on a walkabout to lower Manhattan on an errand. While I wasn’t able to find what I had intended to purchase, I was able to make a bunch of interesting photos. The best ones will be over on Patreon (go join so you don’t miss them!), but I set aside some photos to share here too.
Last year I regularly shared photos on TikTok–there was higher engagement there than here–and tried to post here once a week. Now that TikTok has been sold to Oracle and handed over to a government review board for content moderation, I have deleted most of my content from that platform and will post more frequently here, instead. So get ready for a lot more great photos to look at!
