
I edited this photo live on Twitch a while back. As I walked my viewers through my thought process I pointed out the focus means the background is sharper than the foreground. I like that for this shot, because my intention is to show the overall environment, not focus on the person crossing the street in the foreground. I could have used a broader depth of field, but the image is good either way. There’s no one right answer here. It’s all about the artist’s intent.
